32nd European Heritage Days in Switzerland
13 and 14 September 2025
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the heritage year 1975, the European Heritage Days 2025 invite you on a special journey through time. Under the title “Stories of Architecture”, the doors to more than 400 unique cultural sites will open on 13 and 14 September. Visitors will gain exclusive insights into the creation, maintenance and further development of our architectural heritage.
The European Heritage Days on 13 and 14 September 2025 will present “architectural stories” of people and the buildings in which they live, work and which they design. The focus will be on personal stories and surprising perspectives on unique buildings, historic sites, archaeological finds and former industrial buildings.
A varied, free programme with more than 400 guided tours, exhibitions and workshops awaits the public throughout Switzerland. The events are aimed at a wide audience – from architecture enthusiasts to families. The Heritage Days are organised under the patronage of Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider and are the largest cultural heritage event in Switzerland.
The national programme will be available from July 3rd at kulturerbe-entdecken.ch. Visitors will be able to put together their own personal programme. Reservations will be possible from mid-August.
